Armillaria tabescens!

Found some of the good ones today in the neighbor's front yard—ringless honey mushrooms, a variety of shitake.

Dead skunk

Found a dead skunk in the middle of the road. It was very near a previous encounter (N 38.465913, W -76.096871). Facebook readers were spared the picture, but not here.

Noom

Used the Noom app for Android on the evening ride. It combines weight and calorie tracking as well as workout functions with GPS tracking. It calls out speed, distance and elapsed time during a workout. It plays music off the phone during workouts also. It seems to be pretty accurate and an effective training aid. It's completely free and doesn't require too many intrusive permissions.

It does not come in an iPhone flavor at this point.

Friendly dogs

Was accosted by a pair of friendly dogs early in the ride (N 38.491228, W -76.131767). This was a first meeting, they usually bark their greeting from a kennel. A bit further on I spooked a skunk without incident (N 38.465913, W -76.096871), and still further saw a large gathering of egrets (N 38.438867, W -76.117069).
